Pentecostal Young People's Association

One of the most vibrant and active groups for about 40 years now is the PYPA, which stands for Pentecostal Young People Association. It is part on the IPC PYPA, a global network of young Pentecostals who are passionate about serving God and spreading His love. The PYPA is mainly for the youth and children of our Church, but it also welcomes adults who want to join and support them.

The PYPA meets twice a month. During these meetings, the members showcase their talents and gifts through various programs that glorify God and edify the Church. Some of the programs include: Singing Songs, Bible Reading, Reciting Portions of the Bible, Bible Quizzes, Testimonies of how the Lord has been with them and helped them, and other Special Programs that vary from time to time.

One of the highlights of the PYPA is the Retreats that they conduct every year. These are special occasions where the Church goes to a place and camps there for a day. The Retreats are filled with fun and fellowship The Retreats also provide an opportunity for the PYPA members to bond with each other and with other believers from different churches.

Another exciting event that the PYPA organizes is the Talent Tests that take place towards the end of each year. These are competitions that test the skills and knowledge of the PYPA members in various areas such as: Solo Competition, Memory Verse Competition, Elocution, Drawing Competition, Essay Writing, etc. The Talent Tests are not only meant to challenge and reward the participants, but also to encourage them to develop their abilities and use them for God's glory. The prizes for the Talent Tests are given during the PYPA Anniversary, which is another grand celebration that marks the completion of another year of God's grace and guidance for the PYPA.

The PYPA also has a committee of its own, which consists of a president, a secretary, a treasurer, and other office bearers. The committee is responsible for planning and organizing the activities of the PYPA, as well as communicating with the Church leadership and other groups. The committee members are selected during the Annual General Meeting every year.

The PYPA is always eager to welcome new members who want to be part of this dynamic group. The PYPA believes that God has a special plan and purpose for every young person in our Church, and they want to help them discover and fulfil it. The PYPA also strives to be a positive influence in our society by living out their faith and sharing it with others. The PYPA motto is: "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12)
